Fourteen days. One email. No reason needed.
If the course has not changed how you work, you should not be paying for it. This page tells you exactly how to get your money back, how long it takes, and what happens to your access — before you buy, not after.
Version 1.0 · last updated 30 September 2026
The promise
Within 14 days of paying, email us and we refund the course in full. We will not ask why. You do not have to prove you tried it, and there is no form.
Anything you have already downloaded — the workbook, the cheat sheets, the prompt library as a file — is yours to keep. We do not ask for it back, and we could not take it back if we wanted to.
1 · The window
- 14 days, counted from the date of the payment on your invoice, not from the day you first opened a lesson.
- It applies whether you have read everything or nothing.
- It covers the full price you paid, including any tax that was added at checkout.
- It applies to every buyer, in every country. No region is excluded.
Your statutory rights are separate and they still stand. In the EU and the UK, if the course is faulty or not as described, you have a right to a remedy long after 14 days, and this policy does not replace it. See section 6 of the terms of sale.
2 · How to claim — two steps
Step one
Email hello@lagoon.academy from the address on your account, with Refund in the subject. That is the whole requirement. If you are writing from a different address, tell us which address the account uses so we can find the order.
If you would rather not write your own:
Subject: Refund
Please refund my Lagoon course purchase. The email on my account is [your email].
Step two
Nothing. We take it from there and reply to confirm.
The other route
Because [MERCHANT OF RECORD] is the merchant of record, you can also request the refund directly from them through their buyer portal at [MOR BUYER SUPPORT URL], using the invoice they emailed you. That works just as well and reaches the same outcome. Email us if you would like a human to explain anything first.
3 · What happens next, and when
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Within one working day of your email | We reply to confirm, and submit the refund to [MERCHANT OF RECORD]. If it is going to take longer than that, we will tell you why rather than leave you waiting |
| At the same moment | Course access is removed from your account. See section 4 — it is deliberate, and it is the honest way round |
| Then | [MERCHANT OF RECORD] processes it and returns the money to the card or account you paid with. The time it takes is theirs, not ours — their confirmation email gives the current figure, and your bank adds its own delay on top |
| If anything goes wrong | If the provider queries or declines the refund, we email you the same day we hear, and we sort it out. You will not be left guessing |
We will not tell you a refund is "done" when it has only been submitted. If our email says submitted, that is what happened.
4 · What happens to your access and your progress
- Course access ends when we submit the refund, not when the money lands. Letting you keep a paid course for the days a provider takes to process is not generosity, it is a policy that quietly costs honest buyers money.
- Your account stays open. You can log in, export your data, or buy again later without starting from scratch.
- Your progress is kept for 12 months in case you come back, then deleted. Ask us and we will delete it sooner.
- Files you downloaded stay yours. Workbook, cheat sheets, prompt library, anything you saved.
- You keep what you learned. Obvious, and worth writing down: nothing in this policy restricts your use of the prompts and methods in your own work after a refund.
5 · The certificate
If you already earned the certificate, a refund revokes it, and its public verification page will show it as revoked from that point. A certificate for a course nobody paid for would not be worth anything to the next person who checks one.
6 · The Lagoon Circle subscription
- The first monthly payment is covered by the same 14-day promise.
- Later months are not refunded, because you can cancel before each one and keep the month you already paid for.
- Cancelling is immediate to set up and takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. We do not require an email, a call or a reason.
- Refunding or cancelling Circle never touches your course access. They are separate purchases.
7 · After the 14 days
We do not refund after 14 days, and we would rather say that plainly than keep a vague line that raises hopes.
What we do instead, and mean:
- If something in the course is wrong or broken, tell us and we fix it — that is what the 12 months of updates are for, and a correction goes out to everyone.
- If a module you were sold disappears and is not replaced with something equivalent, we refund a fair share of the price regardless of how long ago you bought. That is written into section 10 of the terms.
- If you were charged twice, or charged after cancelling, that is not a refund request, it is our mistake, and there is no time limit on fixing it.
8 · When we may say no
"No questions asked" means we will not ask you to justify yourself. It does not mean the promise cannot be gamed, so there are exactly two limits, and they are both about abuse rather than about you changing your mind.
- One refunded purchase per person. If your account has already been refunded once and buys again, the second purchase is final. Buy again only if you mean to keep it.
- Accounts that shared, resold or republished the material. If the account has broken section 8 of the terms, we close it under those terms instead, and we will tell you exactly what we saw.
That is the complete list. There is no minimum-completion rule, no "you watched too much" rule, and no clause that lets us refuse because we would rather not.
9 · Chargebacks — please email us first
You can always dispute a charge with your bank. We would ask you to email us first, and not for our sake.
- A refund we submit is usually faster than a bank dispute, which can take weeks.
- A chargeback closes the account automatically while the dispute runs, so you lose access either way.
- It costs us a fee whatever the outcome, which is the one part of this we would rather avoid.
If you already opened a dispute, email us anyway. We will not fight a dispute from someone who was inside the 14 days and simply wanted their money back.
10 · Paid twice, or bought the wrong thing
Email us with both invoice numbers. A duplicate payment is refunded in full whenever you notice it — no window, no argument, and it does not count as your one refunded purchase.
Bought the course and meant to include Circle, or the other way round? Email us and we will fix the order rather than making you refund and re-buy.
